Biography & Leadership
A life forged in military discipline, refined through government service, and dedicated to the constitutional unity of the United Arab Emirates.
The Man Behind the Mission
Born in 1956, His Excellency Staff Major General (Retired) Abdullah bin Muhair Al Ketbi grew up in an era when the UAE was transitioning from a collection of Trucial States into a modern federation. This transformative period shaped his worldview and instilled in him a profound commitment to national unity and institutional governance.
His early education at the Zayed II Military College in Abu Dhabi — where he earned both a bachelor's and master's degree in Military Sciences — laid the foundation for a career that would span the full spectrum of national service: from frontline military command to the highest corridors of diplomatic governance.
Today, as Minister of Federal Supreme Council Affairs, he stands at the intersection of tradition and modernity — honoring the founding vision of Sheikh Zayed while ensuring the federation's governance mechanisms are equipped to navigate the complexities of the 21st century.

Regional Legacy
H.E. Al Ketbi's service as Director of the Ruler's Representative Office in the Al Dhafra Region gave him an intimate understanding of the UAE's western frontier — an expansive territory rich in cultural heritage, strategic importance, and natural resources, including the nation's largest onshore oil fields.
This experience of managing governance at the emirate's geographic edge — where traditional Bedouin culture meets modern industrial development — provided invaluable insight into the diverse needs and aspirations that a federal governance framework must accommodate.
His tenure in Al Dhafra instilled a pragmatic understanding of how federal policies translate into lived realities at the community level — a perspective that enriches his current role in coordinating between the UAE's seven emirates and the federal government.
